Our pyramid-shaped tea bags, called “Tea Temples,” are made from biodegradable, plant-based materials like Soilon, a mesh derived from fermented corn starch. Designed to be plastic-free and compostable, they break down efficiently in council food waste recycling or industrial composting. The attached strings are also plant-based, and labels are made from paper. While the tea bags themselves are compostable, the clear inner bags keeping them fresh are made from either Natureflex (wood pulp) or recyclable plastic. Although derived from corn, the processing ensures that any potential allergens are highly unlikely to remain.
